AI sales coaching software comes in four types, based on what it does after a call: it records and summarizes, scores the call against a scorecard, coaches the person, or lets them practice. Start with the job your managers cannot do today, then check price and CRM fit, because the cost per seat runs from free to a custom quote.
This post compares ten tools: Triple Session, Gong, Chorus, Avoma, Fathom, Fireflies, Hyperbound, Second Nature, Allego and Mindtickle. I read each vendor's own product and pricing pages on November 3, 2026, and every fact below links to the page it came from. I work at Triple Session, so it is one of the ten. I asked it the same questions as the others, from the same kind of source, and I say where it loses.
Last updated November 3, 2026. "Not found" in a table means the pages I read did not mention it. The product may still have it, so ask the vendor. If you are after a single competitor, the Gong alternatives post and the Gong pricing post go deeper on Gong. This post covers the whole category.
The four jobs a coaching tool can do
Every product in this post does at least one of these jobs, and most do two or three.
Recording and summarizing is the first job. The tool joins or imports a call, transcribes it, and writes a summary with action items, often pushing notes to the CRM. A recorder is cheap and fast to adopt. It gives managers a transcript, and what people do on the next call stays the same.
Scoring is the second. The tool grades each call against a scorecard, a list of things a good call includes, such as finding out who signs off on the purchase. The grade comes from AI, from a manager, or from both. The call scoring guide shows how to build one.
Coaching is the third. The tool turns scores into feedback for a person: a coaching plan, a weekly digest, a manager dashboard. Without this job, scores sit in a report.
Practice is the fourth. People rehearse against an AI buyer before the next call and get scored on the same scorecard. The sales coaching evolution post explains how this changes the manager's week.
The question for a buyer is how many of the four jobs the tool covers on the plan you would buy, and who does the rest.

The ten tools
Triple Session
Triple Session is an AI coaching platform that covers all four jobs. The AI Coach plan records meetings with a bot or imports calls from Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, HubSpot, Aircall and Kixie, scores every call against your own scorecard, builds a coaching plan per person, and writes call data to HubSpot or Salesforce fields you choose. AI Roleplay, in the $95 plan, lets people practice against AI buyers on the same scorecards (pricing, call scoring, roleplay).
Prices are $45 per user per month for Academy Pro, $55 for AI Coach and $95 for both, billed annually, with no platform fee. Onboarding is $3,000 or $5,000 once. Where it loses: it has no free trial, so you see it on your own recordings in a demo. It does not sell forecasting or outbound sequences. And for notes alone it costs more than the free plans from Fathom and Fireflies.
Gong
Gong records and transcribes customer conversations, emails and meetings, and its AI agents write summaries and update the CRM (Gong FAQ). The coaching jobs sit on its Enable plans. Scorecards can be answered by AI, by a manager, or both (Gong help center, updated September 13, 2026), and AI Trainer runs practice sessions scored on the same scorecards as live calls (Gong help center, updated April 13, 2026).
Gong also sells forecasting and outreach as separate applications, Gong Forecast and Gong Engage, with their own seats (plans and seats article, updated January 8, 2026). The pricing page says licenses are priced per user with a platform fee based on the number of users supported, and gives no amounts. I did not find a free trial. For the math on 20 people, see Gong pricing in 2026 and the Triple Session vs Gong comparison.
Chorus
Chorus is ZoomInfo's conversation intelligence product. ZoomInfo's product page says it captures and analyzes customer calls, meetings and emails, helps teams cut new hire ramp time and drive methodology adherence, and syncs contacts and communications to the CRM automatically. The page names no scorecard, no practice tool and no price, and every button on it says Request Demo.
For scoring and coaching I used ZoomInfo's own blog, because the product page does not cover them. It describes call recording, AI meeting summaries and scorecards that managers fill in to rate people and leave structured feedback, with Smart Playlists that collect calls for training (ZoomInfo, Gong vs Chorus). I did not find AI scoring of every call or a practice tool on either page. ZoomInfo's pricing page lists Chorus with a Learn More link and no amount, and the blog says neither Gong nor Chorus publishes prices and that Chorus can be bought alone or as part of a ZoomInfo subscription. The integrations guide (modified July 29, 2026) lists Salesforce, HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics, and says Salesforce needs the Enterprise, Unlimited or Developer edition. See Triple Session vs Chorus.
Avoma
Avoma is a meeting assistant with conversation intelligence sold as an add-on. The base plans record, transcribe and summarize. The Conversation Intelligence add-on, $29 per seat per month billed annually, includes AI call scoring and coaching scorecards (Avoma pricing). Avoma says it scores 100% of calls against your scorecards, with templates for MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, BANT, SPICED and Sandler (Avoma), and sends managers a weekly coaching digest per person (Avoma).
Plans are $19 (Startup, up to 25 paid seats), $29 (Organization, up to 100) and $39 (Enterprise, 10 seats minimum) per recorder seat per month billed annually, and people who only watch recordings are free. There is a 14-day trial of the Organization plan with every add-on and no card. I did not find AI roleplay on the pages I read.
Fathom
Fathom is a notetaker with a free plan that has unlimited recordings and transcriptions. The Team plan is $15 and Business is $25 per user per month billed annually, with a 2-user minimum. Business adds CRM field sync, Deal View, coaching metrics and AI scorecards (Fathom pricing).
One divergence: Fathom's own comparison with Gong says scorecards come on every plan "from free upward", while the pricing page lists AI scorecards under Business. I used the pricing page. On September 14, 2026 Fathom announced it is now part of Superhuman and said nothing changes today for Fathom users (Fathom). I found no roleplay. See Triple Session vs Fathom.
Fireflies
Fireflies is a notetaker with a free plan, and its sales page says each call can be scored against BANT, MEDDIC or SPICED (Fireflies). Pro is $10, Business is $19 and Enterprise is $39 per seat per month billed annually (Fireflies pricing). The pricing page does not mention scorecards. Fireflies' help guide puts the BANT and MEDDIC scorecards in its AI Skills for Sales, which come with the Business plan, so check the plan before you count on them.
Coaching is mostly metrics: team admins can see questions asked, talk time and monologue length per person (Fireflies). Fireflies launched an AI Sales Suite in July 2026, according to a press release dated July 22, 2026. I found no roleplay.
Hyperbound
Hyperbound is built around AI roleplay. Its Free plan has 45 prebuilt roleplays. The Practice plan adds custom AI scorecards and coaching on roleplays, and Perform adds scoring of real calls, a call recorder, post-call review, deal coaching and CRM sync for HubSpot, Salesforce and Dynamics (Hyperbound pricing). Practice and Perform are separate per-user licenses.
That split matters if you care about real calls: without Perform, scores come from practice only. Hyperbound publishes no prices for the paid plans and says it offers volume and multi-year discounts. It is the closest match here for a team whose main gap is practice.
Second Nature
Second Nature is an AI roleplay platform. Its FAQ says AI scores each session on knowledge and on style, such as pace and filler words, and that managers can add their own scoring on the same rubric or a custom scorecard (Second Nature FAQ). Managers get dashboards of progress and proficiency, and the site lists templates for MEDDPICC, BANT and SPIN.
I did not find recording or scoring of real calls on the pages I read, and the site has no pricing page (the address returns a 404). Its enterprise page lists HubSpot and Salesforce, and its September 30, 2026 blog post describes new video avatars for practice.
Allego
Allego calls itself a revenue enablement platform, with learning, content and coaching in one place (Allego). Its conversation intelligence page says it records, transcribes and summarizes conversations and scores calls against standardized rubrics. Its coaching page describes AI roleplay in 32 languages, scored against shared rubrics, and skills dashboards by person, team and region (Allego coaching).
Allego prices per user per month, billed annually upfront, depending on seats and contract length. Its pricing page (modified June 7, 2026) says the typical contract is three years, that AI and support carry no extra charge, and that managed services cost extra. It lists no amounts and I did not find a trial.
Mindtickle
Mindtickle is a revenue enablement platform that launched ElevateOS, an agentic operating system for enablement, on April 21, 2026 (Mindtickle). Its conversation intelligence page covers recording, AI scoring and manual coaching forms. Its coaching page lists coaching forms, templates and tracking of coaching metrics. Its AI roleplay page says people can practice in more than 25 languages (Mindtickle).
The site has no pricing page: /pricing redirects to the platform page. The roleplay page says there is no self-serve free version and points to a free demo. It confirms Salesforce with its own integration page. HubSpot appears in the structured data of its integrations page, but I did not see a HubSpot card or page, so I list it as not confirmed.
What these tools cost
Vendr, which publishes software contract data, shows a median price per year for each of these tools except Chorus (I could not find a Vendr page for it). These are the figures on each page on November 3, 2026.
| Tool | Median per year | Purchases behind it | Date on the page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gong | $55,359 | 1,151 | Updated March 2026 |
| Allego | $49,600 | Not shown | No date shown |
| Mindtickle | $44,356 | 65 | Updated February 2026 |
| Avoma | $23,112 | Not shown | Updated February 2026 |
| Second Nature | $19,000 | Not shown | No date shown |
| Hyperbound | $12,000 | Not shown | No date shown |
| Fireflies | $10,620 | Not shown | No date shown |
| Fathom | $7,586 | Not shown | No date shown |
Sample: Vendr marketplace pages for 8 of the 10 tools, read on November 3, 2026. Vendr found no page for Chorus, and Triple Session is not listed. Method: The median buyer price each Vendr page states. Vendr prices a different bundle for each tool, so the medians are not like for like.
Sources: Vendr's pages for Gong, Allego, Mindtickle, Avoma, Second Nature, Hyperbound, Fireflies and Fathom.
The sources disagree in four places, and I would trust the vendor's own page over Vendr for a list price:
- Avoma: Vendr describes Starter, Plus and Business plans at $49 to $79 or more per user per month. Avoma's pricing page lists Startup, Organization and Enterprise at $19, $29 and $39.
- Fathom: Vendr says the Team plan starts around $19 to $29 per user per month when billed annually. Fathom lists Team at $15 billed annually and $19 monthly.
- Gong: Vendr's page shows 593 deals in its header and 1,151 purchases in its text.
- Mindtickle: Vendr's header shows 34 deals and its text 65 purchases, and its price ranges by team size do not match its median.
Gong, Chorus, Hyperbound, Second Nature, Allego and Mindtickle publish no amounts on their own sites, so for them a quote is the only list price. Ask for the platform fee, onboarding fee, contract length and what happens at renewal in writing.
Year one for 20 people, from published prices
Only plans with a published per-seat price can be added up, and these five are the ones closest to scoring or coaching. This is my arithmetic from the prices in the table above, and the tools do different jobs, so read the third column before the total.
| Plan | Year one, 20 people | What the plan includes, from the vendor's pages |
|---|---|---|
| Triple Session AI Coach, $55 | $16,200 | $13,200 in seats plus $3,000 onboarding. Recording, scoring, coaching plan |
| Triple Session Academy Pro + AI Coach, $95 | $25,800 | $22,800 in seats plus $3,000 onboarding. Adds AI roleplay and courses |
| Fireflies Business, $19 | $4,560 | Recording, summaries, conversation metrics. Scorecards per help guide |
| Fathom Business, $25 | $6,000 | Recording, CRM field sync, coaching metrics, AI scorecards |
| Avoma Startup + Conversation Intelligence, $48 | $11,520 | Recording, AI call scoring, coaching digests |
Sample: 5 plans with a published per-seat price, read on November 3, 2026. Gong, Chorus, Hyperbound, Second Nature, Allego and Mindtickle are quote only and are left out, and so are the cheaper plans without scoring. Method: People × price per person per month × 12, plus the one-time onboarding fee where the vendor publishes one. Optional paid onboarding on Avoma ($1,000) is not included.

Choose by team size and stack
For up to about 10 people, a recorder is often enough. If the manager already listens to calls and wants notes and CRM updates, that is enough. Fathom and Fireflies have free plans, and Avoma starts at $19 a seat. Buy more only when the manager can no longer review the calls that matter.
For 10 to 50 people, the usual problem here is that a manager cannot review enough calls. You need scoring and coaching, and practice if new hires are ramping. The plans that publish a price are Avoma with its add-on, Fathom Business and Triple Session AI Coach. Hyperbound Perform and Gong Enable are quote only.
For 50 people or more, or an enablement team: if someone runs content, certification and onboarding as a program, Allego and Mindtickle both call themselves revenue enablement platforms, and Gong also sells forecasting and outreach. Expect multi-year terms: Allego says three years is typical.
If you use HubSpot, nine of the ten tools list an integration, and Mindtickle is the one I could not confirm. What differs is the plan where the write-back lives. Fathom puts CRM field sync in Business, Hyperbound puts CRM sync in Perform, and Fireflies limits Deal Intelligence for HubSpot and Salesforce to Business and Enterprise (Fireflies guide). Avoma supports two-way sync for supported HubSpot properties (Avoma). Triple Session is listed in the HubSpot App Marketplace and lets you choose whether updates push automatically or wait for approval.
If you use Salesforce, Gong lists its Salesforce connection on any plan. Chorus needs the Enterprise, Unlimited or Developer edition of Salesforce. Avoma added mapping of Meeting Properties and Smart Topics to Salesforce Event and Task fields in its October 2026 update.
When each type is the best choice
- Triple Session fits when you want every call scored on your own scorecard, a coaching plan per person and roleplay at a published price, and you do not need forecasting. Avoma with its add-on gets you scoring and coaching at a lower seat price if you can live without roleplay.
- A recorder is enough when managers listen to calls themselves and need notes and CRM updates. Fathom or Fireflies cost nothing to start. Triple Session is the wrong buy here.
- Gong wins when you need forecasting and outreach in the same platform as call recording.
- Chorus fits when you already buy from ZoomInfo, since ZoomInfo says it can be bought as part of a subscription.
- Hyperbound or Second Nature win when practice is the main gap and scoring real calls can wait. Hyperbound has a free plan with 45 roleplays.
- Allego or Mindtickle win when an enablement team runs content, onboarding and certification in one platform and can sign a multi-year contract.
Questions to ask any vendor
- Who builds the scorecard, and can you change it without a ticket?
- Is every call scored, or a sample? Does a manager have to review the score first?
- What happens after a low score: does the person get a task, a practice session, or nothing?
- Which plan holds the features you need, and what is the total in writing, including the platform fee and onboarding?
- Which fields does it write to HubSpot or Salesforce, and does a person approve the update first?
- Can you import the calls you already have, and what happens to them if you leave?
To run these as tests in a demo, with a weak and a strong answer for each, see What to ask in an AI sales coaching demo: 7 tests.
For a Gong contract that is still running, the Gong alternatives post covers running two tools in parallel and exporting call history.
FAQ
What is conversation intelligence software?
Conversation intelligence software records sales calls and meetings, transcribes them, and analyzes them for summaries, topics, talk time and scores. Chorus, Avoma, Allego and Mindtickle sell it under that name. Notetakers like Fathom and Fireflies cover the recording and summary part. The coaching tools in this post add scoring, coaching and practice on top.
What is the best conversation intelligence software?
It depends on the job. For notes and summaries on a small team, Fathom and Fireflies have free plans. If you also need forecasting and outreach, look at Gong. For scoring every call and coaching each person, look at Triple Session AI Coach, Avoma with its add-on, Fathom Business and Hyperbound Perform. Use the table above to match the tool to the job.
Does AI sales coaching work?
This post has no outcome data to quote, and I ran no test, so I will not claim a result. What you can check before buying is whether a low score leads somewhere: feedback to the person, then practice or a task, then a better score on the next call. Ask each vendor for a customer of your size and measure the same scorecard before and after.
Does an AI sales coach replace a sales manager?
On the pages I read, the tools score calls and run practice without a manager, and the manager still reviews and coaches. Avoma sends managers a weekly coaching digest, Allego lets managers add their own scoring to AI scores, and Gong gives managers dashboards on how they coach. The software takes over the review work, and the conversation with the person stays with the manager.
Is Gong worth it?
Gong covers recording, scoring, practice, forecasting and outreach, the last two as separate applications. It publishes no price, and Vendr's median contract is $55,359 a year across 1,151 purchases (updated March 2026). It is worth pricing if you need forecasting and outreach next to call recording and can buy a platform. For the cost math and cheaper options, see Gong pricing in 2026 and Gong alternatives.
Does Gong replace Salesforce?
No. Gong's help center says its HubSpot and Salesforce integrations import CRM data into Gong and export selected Gong activity back, on any Gong plan. It sits next to your CRM.
Is Fathom a good option?
For recording and summaries on a small team, yes: the free plan has unlimited recordings and transcriptions. For scoring and coaching you need the Business plan at $25 per user per month billed annually, and I found no roleplay. Fathom became part of Superhuman in September 2026, and the company says nothing changes for current users. See Triple Session vs Fathom.
How much does AI sales coaching software cost?
It ranges from free to a custom quote. Fathom and Fireflies have free plans. Published paid prices run from $10 per seat per month (Fireflies Pro, billed annually) to $95 (Triple Session Academy Pro + AI Coach), and six of the ten publish no price for their paid plans. For 20 people, five plans with a published price cost $4,560 to $25,800 in year one, as the table above shows. Add the platform fee and onboarding for any tool that quotes, and check the Triple Session pricing page for ours.
